Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic

Carmarthenshire County Council hereby gives notice that from 25th October 2020, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along the C2163, Rhandirmwyn, Llandovery from a point 310 metres South-East of its junction with the U4180 for a distance of 290 metres in a South-Easterly direction. 

The closure is necessary to ensure public safety while Openreach carry out urgent cabling works involving customers out of service.

The alternative route for North-Westbound traffic will be to proceed along the C2163 in a South-Easterly to South-Westerly direction to its junction with the C2157 passing property known Capel Bryn-Hyfryd. At the junction, near property known Plas-Yr-Ardd, turn right and continue along the C2157 in a North-Westerly to North-Easterly direction to its junction with the U4180 passing properties known Bryn Heulog and Ty Gwyn. At the junction, turn right and continue along the U4180 in a North-Easterly direction to its junction with the C2163 passing property known Troed-Y-Bryn. At the junction, turn right and continue along the C2163 in a South-Easterly direction to return to a point North-West of the closure. Vice versa for South-Eastbound traffic.

This Notice shall continue in force for a period not exceeding twenty one days after which time its provision may be extended by a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the same Act.
