Cefntrenfa House and land [? Cefn + trinfa (Battlefield Ridge)]
Cefntrenfa House and land was the home farm of the small estate of Cefntrenfa with 128 acres. Harries William Davys was the owner in the tithe and John Morgan was the tenant.
There is some confusion over where the dwelling was as it is not marked on any of the maps, however it is possible that the farmhouse was part of the large range of outbuildings in the substantial farmyard. Pevsner notes the, ‘outbuildings with the half round openings of Erryd and Henllys.’ This could suggest the family connections, between Cefntrenfa and Erryd and Henllys, or that they were being remodelled at similar periods.
