FLU VACCINATION SESSIONS 2017

 

YOUR DOCTOR RECOMMENDS FLU VACCINATION

LLANDOVERY – in the Castle Hotel

Tuesday 3rd October and Thursday 19th October

At 9 30am – 12 30pm & 2pm – 6pm
LLANGADOG  – in the Community Hall

Wednesday 11th October

9 30am -12 30pm
Vaccination is free for our registered patients who:

are aged 65 and over or

are aged 6 months to 64 years old who

  • have a disease which affects their lungs, heart, liver or kidneys or who have diabetes or a neurological illness
  • have a friend or relative who relies on them for their care
  • are pregnant
  • have a disease, or take medicines which suppress their immune system

and all children born between  01.09.13 and 31.08.15
Health workers should be vaccinated by their employers unless they fall into any of the categories above.

The vaccines do not contain live bugs and so can’t cause flu.

The vaccination will take up to 14 days to give you protection though will not protect you if you have been exposed to the virus before you had the jab.   Vaccination is offered between September and early November because flu is more active from the middle of November.
