RESQ Broadband service

On Wednesday evening at around 6.30pm, the Community Broadband Scheme in Cilycwm developed a problem on the LPU (Lightning Protection Unit).  This probably developed due to the continuing adverse weather conditions.

By 7.30pm, ResQ in Cross Hands had received a few complaints about the system being down and they responded by carrying out tests to try and isolate the issues.

By 9.00pm, Clive (one of the ResQ directors) was on site assessing the problem.  The driving wind and rain made working very difficult, especially with all the work being done by torchlight.  By 10pm the Broadband network was back working.

What can one say?  Unbelievable service from a small local company.

A BIG THANK YOU to ResQ.

P.S.

Anyone thinking of moving over to VoIP in 2016?  ResQ may have the answer.  (VoIP = Voice over Internet Protocol).

Technology moves forward.
