Dyfed Powys police are reminding residents in Carmarthenshire to be aware of cold callers touting for work. There have been several incidents recently where the elderly have been tricked into paying £11000 for shoddy work by laying tar in the driveway. These rogue traders travel in vehicles sometimes touting for scrap or other odd-jobs. Do you have an elderly family member or friend or neighbour? make them aware of rogue traders cold calling and not to sell anything, purchase anything or offer work to strangers. Please report any suspicious persons or vehicles to the police telephone number 101
